Video didn't kill anyone, TV killed you

First off I just have to say that Scott Wootten is doing some amazing stuff with footage from some killer rides in the great state of Virginia. I had a chance to talk with this guy a little bit a few months back and what a great guy. Thanks Scott and please keep up the awesome work.

Now take a peep at these two videos from two sweet and technical rides in the VA/WV area. I haven’t hit Whetstone since April and I haven’t ridden North Fork since last October.

Shameful on both accounts as my rock skill need some serious work.

More shameful is the fact that while I love my hardtail being off the bike regularly for the past few months has me kind of lusting for a full suspension toy. Purely because I’m getting fat and lazy and loosing my technical skills and at the moment a souped up recliner seems like a good time.

I’d really dig on one of these babies right now.

Thankfully my wallet can’t support such an impulse purchase and by the time that I could save the coin I will hopefully be back on the bike regularly enough that I will forget all about coveting thy squishy bike.

I’m signed up for a weekend of cross racing this weekend and I still haven’t touched the cross bike since I took it off the rack and put it in the basement after the Rocktown race two or three weeks ago. I guess I should check the air in the tires and lube the chain. Maybe even shine it up a bit. A clean fast looking machine is intimidating on the start line right? And racing is a huge mental game. Maybe I can give it a sexy spit shine that will make the competition admit defeat on the start line before their embrocation even heats up!

Likely story
